Marco Zappa

Nato a Viterbo nel 1965, vive e lavora a Viterbo e Milano, artista e docente alla Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti (NABA) di Milano.

Dopo aver conseguito il diploma accademico in Pittura con il massimo dei voti, si è dedicato ad una lunga ricerca artistica lavorando con i più disparati materiali, riscontrabili nella tradizione storica e contemporanea delle discipline artistiche.
Dal 1994 ha dedicato il suo lavoro allo studio del dinamismo nel corpo umano attraverso diversi cicli pittorici, percorso che ha portato l’artista all’inizio del 2000 alla creazione dei Polimat: dal termine abbreviato polimaterico, nascono dei box realizzati con elementi di pittura, scultura, composizioni scenografiche ed oggetti reali. Le tematiche dei Polimat sono lo sviluppo dell’attività umana, dalla realtà alla fantasia attraverso una lettura a volte ironica, a volte cruda.
Negli ultimi anni, Marco Zappa lavora contemporaneamente alla realizzazione dei “Decolorati”, opere pittoriche in divenire, ottenute attraverso la corrosione della tinta sei tessuti.
Marco Zappa ha partecipato a numerose esposizioni, personali e collettive in Italia ed all’estero, ha realizzato numerose opere pubbliche nell’ambito dell’Arte Sacra ed è presente con la sua ricerca artistica sul mercato dell’arte.
Dal 1990 ad oggi è docente presso la NABA (Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti di Milano) dove ricopre attualmente le cattedre di Tecniche Pittoriche e di Anatomia Artistica.

MARCO ZAPPA

Born in Viterbo, Italy, in 1965, lives and works in Milano and Viterbo, artist and professor at New Academy of Fine Arts (NABA) in Milan.
After receiving his diploma in Painting with honors, he has dedicated himself to a long artistic working with many different materials, found in the historical tradition and contemporary artistic disciplines.
Since 1994 he has dedicated his work to the study of the dynamics in the human body through several cycles of paintings, path that led the artist at the beginning of 2000 to the creation of Polimat: the abbreviated term polimaterico (mix media), born of the box made with elements of painting, sculpture, scenic compositions and real objects. The themes of Polimat are the development of human activity, from reality to fantasy reading through a sometimes humorous, sometimes raw.
In recent years, Marco Zappa works simultaneously to the creation of “bleached”, paintings in progress, obtained through the corrosion of the tint six tissues.
Marco Zappa has participated in numerous exhibitions and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad, he has made numerous public works as part of Sacred Art and is present with his artistic research on the art market.
Since 1990 he is professor at NABA (New Academy of Fine Arts of Milan), where he currently holds the chairs of Painting Techniques and Artistic Anatomy.
